Dr. Christine Mullen - President
Dr. Christine Mullen is a clinical neuropsychologist with a focus on neuropsychological evaluations and research. She has a strong background in clinical psychology and has completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Utah. Dr. Mullen is also the Assistant Director of the APPCN Clinical Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at the University of Utah. Her clinical interests include traumatic and acquired brain injury, stroke, brain tumor, neurodegenerative disorders, and solid organ transplant. Dr. Mullen's research has primarily focused on patient outcomes, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychometric considerations of neuropsychological tests. Dr. Mullen also serves on the executive board for the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah.
Dr. Elizabeth Wilde - Vice President
Dr. Elisabeth Wilde is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of neurology. She is a Professor and Co-Director of the Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion Center at the University of Utah and holds appointments as a Health Research Scientist in the VA Salt Lake City Healthcare System. Her research focuses on the use of advanced neuroimaging techniques to enhance diagnosis and prognosis, monitor recovery and neurodegeneration, evaluate the efficacy of therapeutic interventions, and elucidate aspects of neuroplasticity in traumatic brain injury. Dr. Wilde has been actively involved in over 45 federally funded clinical projects in TBI and has authored more than 245 peer-reviewed publications. She is also the Director of the Neuroimaging Core for the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs co-funded Long-term Impact of Military-relevant Brain Injury Consortium (LIMBIC)/Chronic Effects of Neurotrauma Consortium (CENC) Neuroimaging Core. Dr. Wilde also serves on the executive board for the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah.
Dr. Joseph Kamerath
Dr. Joseph Kamerath is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician and serves as the Senior Medical Director for Rehabilitation for Intermountain Health, responsible for rehabilitation care that occurs in a system of 33 hospitals, 60+ outpatient therapy clinics, several medical group practices, a rehabilitation research team, and 2,000 rehabilitation caregivers. He trained in PM&R at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington DC, served 17 years in the United States Army including time in Afghanistan, Korea, and Abu Dhabi. He has directed a multidisciplinary outpatient Traumatic Brain Injury Center, worked as a PM&R Clinic Chief, a Hospital Rehabilitation Department Chair, and collaborated with the US State Department on the Trauma, Burn, and Rehabilitation Medicine initiative in the UAE. He attained his MBA from Strayer University and has medical board certifications in PM&R and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Clinically, he practices inpatient rehabilitation at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. Dr. Kamerath also serves on the board for the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah.
